Tiger is on Ryder's Cup team

As expected, Tiger Woods was one of four players selected to the U.S. Ryder Cup team by captain Corey Pavin on Tuesday morning during a press conference at the New York Stock Exchange. It marks the sixth Ryder Cup appearance for Woods, who previously competed in 1997, 1999, 2002, 2004 and 2006.


The other captain's picks are Zach Johnson, Stewart Cink and Rickie Fowler. They join Americans Jim Furyk, Dustin Johnson, Matt Kuchar, Hunter Mahan, Phil Mickelson, Jeff Overton, Steve Stricker and Bubba Watson, all of whom qualified on points after the PGA Championship.
The U.S. team will seek to retain the Cup at Celtic Manor in Newport, Wales, United Kingdom from Oct. 1-3.  Read more....
