Woods had only one skin at the 469-yard, par-4 fourth hole, where he flushed a long drive and flagged a wedge two feet from the hole, tapping in for a birdie. But he hit some monstrous drives that kept the spectators entertained throughout the 18-hole event.

Prior to the tournament, Woods and Jaidee paid their respects to the ailing king at Siriraj Hospital. King Bhumibol is celebrating his 84th birthday and 60th year of his succession to the throne. Woods also met with several dignitaries.

Following the tournament, Woods flew to Melbourne, where he will defend his title this week in the JBWere Masters at Victoria Golf Club.
